Stillness and peace
permeate
the lagoon at Devils Island. As we watch, an osprey feeds a freshly
caught
fish to its young in a nest atop a high spruce tree. That evening the
brilliance
of the stars is breathtaking.

won't believe it, but Allan and Abbey have just turned back from
attempting
to cross West Penobscot Bay--due to thick fog!

before retiring to the boats.
