Thursday's
progress: a cool,
foggy day with mostly light to very light zephyrs from various,
westerly and the southerly, directions. Near sunset, we decided to
anchor in an unprotected area about 50 feet off the north side of
Sleeping Bear Point. The place was quite calm in the southerly breeze
that was blowing as we put up the boom tent. The weather radio was
telling us that a NW breeze was imminent, and we figured the wave
action would alert us to its arrival soon enough. No danger to the boat
on this soft, sandy shore.
