Before the days of Covid-19, Nick and Marc, two Michigan dog-owners, are walking their leashed dogs on an oppressively hot summer's afternoon in East Tawas. They are already sweating and dehydrated when they see a bar.
"Let's go in and have a beer," says Nick.
"We can't," replies Marc. "No dogs allowed."
"I have that covered," says Nick. "Just follow my lead." With his German Shepherd leading the way, a suitably cautious Nick goes to walk into the bar only to have the bouncer stop him, "No dogs allowed."
"Working dog," says Nick and gets waved through.
Marc thinks that is just great and follows Nick. Again, "No dogs allowed" from the doorman.
"Working dog," says Marc.
"That's no working dog," sneers the bouncer, "That's a f**king chihuahua."
In stunned disbelief, a tearful Marc cries out, "They gave me a chihuahua???!!!"
