Sailing History:
  • Started as a cadet at Royal North of Ireland YC on Belfast Lough.  
  • Moved up to an Enterprise for 10 years, then a long gap while working and living in London.
  • Returned home to NI and have sailed a Laser and then a Wayfarer for the last 10 years. 
  • More recently cruising in Scotland
 Sailing History:
Took up sailing 4 years ago, just for the craic.
Sail a Laser at club level and crew in Wayfarers.
When not sailing:
Work at PA to senior management in Education
Other sporting interests: Skiing, hillwalking, kayaking, fishing, tennis & reading

Work: Civil Engineer.

  • Horseriding, rowing, rugby (all in former lives).
  • Irish international in both rowing and rugby.
Canadian connections: Last international rowing race was in commonwealth championships in London, Ontario 1994.  Manager of the Irish Women’s Rugby Team at the World Cup in Edmonton, Alberta, 2006.
Family: 2 children - Louise 33 and Robbie 30.  Cousins in Vancouver
