2022 Wayfarer Worlds Julie Seraphinoff reports to Facebook |
Last day of practicing before start of official racing tomorrow at the Wayfarer International Championships. Winds in the morning were 16 gusting to 26. Hearty sailors got out for three LESC club races. Many of us held off until winds calmed down. Lake Eustis Sailing Club volunteers and the USWA leaders have everything well in hand. Our day started with Canadian team Jan d'Ailly and Tom Legrady holding a christening ceremony for Jan’s finally-named boat Zephyrus. Republic of Ireland team, Henry O’Friel and Elaine Vogan, christened their boat borrowed from Tony Krauss. The name, appropriately, is “Tony’s.” There were flowers, rose water, speeches and applause. |
