Marc,

I don't have a motor mount or motor.  Ton Jaspers can give you a recommendation.  Ton's mounts into a channel bracket that stays with the boat while the main bracket is easily removed when racing, etc.  Also Dennis Figley has a good unit.  I suspect that a good one won't be cheap.

Hi guys,

Al, ...  My drawing is now here: http://www.wayfarer.nl/downloads/Outboard_bracket.pdf  Maybe you should copy it onto WIT?  (Al's note: done)

The drawing is not to scale. It was intended to complement the bracket as made by Boats 'n bits. I seem to remember having made a couple of JPEG's with the dimensions taken from my bracket. If anyone want them please let me know and  I'll try to find them again.  I remember the angle between the motor mount and transom being quite critical as it ensures the prop does not push the transom up or down.

Best wishes,

Ton Jaspers (Swiebertje - W10445)

Marc,

I had a bracket on my W1321 that is in 2 parts leaving just the mounting plate when a motor is not needed.

Jamestown Distributors sells it, but you may get sticker shock:

I have one that is similar that I ordered off the Internet.   It is stainless.  It came from the UK.
