13. Laundry
Lady (starboard) is sitting close-hauled with sails luffing on a
not very crowded line in 10 knots. Belching Boris
is starting on port and looks likely to be crossing the barely moving Laundry
Lady by about one length. As the gun goes, Laundry
Lady and Belching Boris are two
lengths
apart. Laundry Lady pulls in his sails
and
his boat leaps ahead, but he immediately has to bear away to avoid
carving
up Belching Boris. |
