50. Organ Donor and Pacifier are sailing converging courses on port tack down the run. As indicated in the diagram at left, Pacifier gets an overlap from clear astern about a boatlength and a half to leeward of Organ Donor.
	The boats keep converging as Pacifier continues to gain while sailing the same higher course that he has been sailing since gybing to port about 300 metres earlier. Organ Donor tells Pacifier to stop luffing. Pacifier refuses to change course and, when a collision becomes imminent, Organ Donor finally luffs up to keep clear while going through the valid protest procedure.
