This case is based on a smart manoeuvre made by Mike and Darlene Codd at one of the North Bay Wayfarer Weekends in the early 1990s. ..... 58. Codd’s Cradle (port) is in a very close race up the final beat with No Such Luck (starboard). As they converge at the finish line, Codd’s Cradle shoves his bow across the line.  He then bears away violently to avoid interfering with No Such Luck.  ..... While Mike Codd opens a celebratory refreshement, his crew wonders if their finish will count since they did not completely cross the finish line.  ..... Has Mike legally finished? .....
