Subject: Wayfarer "Magic Box" Replacement

Al,

My dad and I were at Clark Lake this past weekend, in W2413. You and I discussed that I should send you a link to my project, a screw-based replacement for the jib halyard tensioning systems sometimes called magic boxes.

Please find here a blog post I just published on the subject: https://www.i3detroit.org/wayfarer-magic-box-replacement/

In addition, all of the design files, as well as 2D prints and assembly instructions, can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3885473

Feel free to post these links on your website, and/or send them to people you think might be interested in them. All of the designs are open-source, and derivatives are fine so long as there is an attribution to me mentioned in the new designs. I would prefer to collect questions or comments on the Thingiverse site linked above; easier to manage in one spot. However, I can take those at this email address if needed.

Happy sailing!
