Subject: Letter
of thanks re my 90th birthday party.
... The
splendid turnout of past and present TS&CC members and past Commodores,
friends, visitors from local clubs, ISAF, CYA/OSA, Wayfarer members,
local Church friends, who attended the reception on Sunday afternoon
September 28, 2003 at TS&CC to celebrate my 90th birthday was
certainly appreciated by myself and my family: Pat, John, Joy & Gord.
It sure
was
exciting to meet up so many out of town and USA friends along with the
present and former members that I had not seen for many years to make
this a memorable occasion for me. Receiving congratulations from
WIC/UKWA members was a nice surprise bringing back many fond memories
of past visits to UK.
I wish
to
express my sincere gratitude to Darlene Codd, Jane Cawthorne and
Mary Maysuik who co-ordinated the reception, and to club manager,
Derek Griffiths, and his assistant, Laura, for cleaning up the club and
ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Thanks also to
all those that assisted by bringing food and other
items, to Mike Codd who handled the master of cermonies
duties so well and to Leanne, the club caterer, who supplied the
birthday cake.
Thanks
to
all,
George T. Blanchard
