2008 was also the year the USWA hosted an International Rally for the first time - at Hermit Island in Maine. With quite a fine sailors having come over from the UK, the Netherlands and France, Frank and Sue (sunglasses) very kindly drove three hours from Brooklin to bring W4270 for us to use.
........


Add the sails lon loan from Tony Krauss' W276 and UK Wayfarer magazine editor,
Ray Scragg and wife, Jill, were soon out on Casco Bay which is for all intents and purposes the Atlantic.

Landing on Elm Island. Ah, the adventures Frank was missing by refusing the cruising!!

2010

After an off year in 2009, the Wayfarers not only returned in 2010, they brought some Rebels (l) with them.
And Frank (r) had finally completed the last Wayfarer kit boat ever built and W8705 was making her debut here.

The River Race was a mostly light-air affair. Sarah was unable to come east this time but Tom Fulton filled in fine..

Saturday: A fine, warm, breezy day - a bit of a challenge for Richard Watterson who made his debut as Uncle Al's crew.
