Uncle Al's Pictorial Pearls of Wisdom based on photos from the '06 Regattas
Hi, gang: As I was doing captions for the thousands of pictures with which we documented our 2006 Wayfarer season, I came across many photos that were good educational material, and for which I sincerely thank the many photographers who captured our 2006 season so well. I, of course, couldn't resist adding my two cents' worth. These pictures illustrate a lot of useful sailing knowledge of all kinds, everything from rigging to strategy to boat handling to racing rules. But they were scattered through a dozen regatta reports containing over 100 web pages. So I have made them more accessible by grouping them all right here. It was fun looking at these again, and I hope you, too, will find them entertainingly useful. Grouped by no other thread than the regattas where these occurred, I think they'll be perfect fare for the off-season. Just click on any of the regatta names listed below.
